After having had innovation time for the past school year, I am very sad that it is over. I found innovation time to be exciting and impactful. It gave me an opportunity to help improve the school and community in an engaging and personal way. Although the project itself was not an immediate success, the lessons that I was able to learn were extremely worth it. I learned about the importance of collaboration with others and ways to persevere through hard times and road blocks. It provided me with skills that will be very helpful for years to come. I hope that we will have this opportunity next year. Also, here is the link to my TED talk presentation; it summarizes my experience. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1t-9a9tEh6yXzFeSGeg-BJLG9CnEwj5f6t40AS3AIeBw

During our last innovation time, Joey and I worked on polishing up our TED talk. We finished the slides and began running through our presentation as far as what we planned on saying. We also went through and attempted to add interesting images to keep the audience engaged. We are both anxious and excited for our upcoming TED talk presentation.
During our last innovation time, Joey and I worked on our TED talk. We have been using the rubric as well as some worksheets that were handed out earlier this year. We plan to present our TED talk soon and are excited to share our journey with the class. We have also been looking into various effective methods of speaking during a TED talk and ways to keep the audience engaged. We hope that our TED talk is enjoyable and interesting.
During our last innovation time, Joey and I worked on our TED talk presentation and plans. Today, we met with Abbie and Alexis to enjoy the Snackcrate which had just arrived. This is the next project which we plan to do. We have continued working on our TED talk slides as well as tips when presenting our talk to the class.
During our last innovation time, Joey and I discussed what we wanted to do regarding the geofilter. Unfortunately, things are not working out, so we have decided to drop the project. We have begun planning our TED talk regarding what we have learned as well as planning what to do next. Joey and I are optimistic that our next undertaking will be more successful.
During the innovation time before spring break, Joey and I continued working with GIMP as well as looking into options of using customizable templates. I also took more notes on things such as contrast in the geofilter and interesting art to accompany it. We plan on continuing investigating helpful options for the geofilter.
During our last innovation time, Joey and I worked with GIMP and also watched some instructional videos. I took notes on design tips and preferred colors for geofilters. We then attempted to apply thesis tips to our "working" geofilter in the GIMP program. We planned which colors we would like to implement as well as the colors that should be eliminated. We also looked into methods of inserting cool hand-drawn images into our geofilter.
During the last innovation time, Joey and I worked more with GIMP as well as researched geofilter creation tips. We continued looking for alternate ways to fundraise for the geofilter course. As we continued our research, we also did research into popular techniques used to make interesting and desirable geofilters. In addition, we looked into the process in which Snapchat reviews these geofilter designs. We hope to find the funding for the course or find another course which we can afford now. We plan on continuing our search as well as creating more draft geofilters on the GIMP program as time progresses.
During our last innovation time, Joey and I worked on researching the different aspects of a good geofilter. We attempted to contact an expert who offers a course on geofilter design, yet at present it is too expensive for us. We intend to continue looking for other options online. Our goal is to have our geofilter up by the end of the school year.
During our last innovation time, Joey and I made a significant amount of progress. After reviewing Snapchat's response to our rough draft submission, we created a plan on ways to improve our geofilter and make it more unique. We also talked to our school's tech director about the topic. He agreed to be our expert for the project and said that he would research more on the editing program (GIMP) we are using. We began editing our old geofilter as well as researching recommendations for geofilters online.
